Dequantes Devontay Lamar, AKA “Rich Homie Quan,” was found unresponsive in his Atlanta home Thursday, September 5th. His longtime girlfriend found his lifeless body just before noon, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed.
While an autopsy was conducted, no cause of death has been revealed. Many friends and fans have taken to social media to publicly pay their tributes and respects to the fallen hip hop pioneer.
Rich Homie Quan released his first mixtape in 2012, “Still Going In.” He toured with Trinidad James in 2013, and was featured on Gucci Mane’s album, “Trap House III. His first mainstream success was “Type of Way,” a single released in 2013, that peaked at number 50 on Billboard Hot 100, followed up by his 2015 single “Flex (Ooh, Ooh Ooh).
Rich Homie Quan has collaborated with a vast number of recording artists including Young Thug, Young Jeezy, YG, TYGA, WALE and more.
Rich Homie Quan was 34 years old. He leaves behind 4 sons.
