R&B Trivia: Who is the best-selling R&B group of All-Time? Scratch that, who’s the best Motown selling group of All-Time? Nope, it’s not the Temptations. Not the Four Tops or Smokey Robinson’s Miracles. It’s
gotta be the Jackson 5 featuring little Michael Jackson, right? Maybe Diana Ross & the Supremes or
better yet, the Commodores. It’s actually 90’s hitmakers BOYZ II MEN.

Well, a biopic and documentary telling the story of the group’s 30+ year career is in the works. From
their formation in Philadelphia in 1985, to being discovered by Michael Bivins of New Edition (their name
comes from one of their songs) to all of the worldwide success for Nathan, Shawn, Wanya, and Michael.

Boyz II Men are four-time Grammy Award winners. They have charted five number 1 records on the
Billboard Hot 100 including record-breaking songs like “End of the Road” and “I’ll Make Love To You.”
The Mariah Carey featured hit “One Sweet Day,” spent the most weeks at number 1 of any song during the 1990’s at 16 weeks! Boyz II Men has a host of many other accomplishments and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Current group members Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris will executive produce the
film. Other executive producers include Ori Allon, Dennis Casali, and Steven Garcia. Denis O’Sullivan and
Jeff Kalligheri of Compelling Pictures, Larry Mestal of Primary Wave, Jeremy M. Rosen of Roxwell Films,
and the group’s manager, Joe Mulvihill of the Mulvi Group. Compelling Pictures will also produce the documentary.

A release date and name for the upcoming Boyz II Men biopic and documentary has yet to be announced.
