The 4th installment of the iconic franchise BAD BOYS has been released and it appears to have exceeded expectations. With a projected revenue of $104.6 million globally, the Sony film is expected to make it’s $100 million dollar budget back and reach the $200 million mark within the next few weeks.

Insiders were reportedly concerned with the lingering aftermath regarding Smith’s altercation at the Academy Awards two years ago. Rumors surfaced that production of the film was halted due to the incident. Sony head chairman Tom Rothman later disputing the reports and confirmed the film was still in development.
The action-comedy is sure to be another success to the 30 plus year running franchise. Bad Boys Ride or Die hit theaters on Friday, June 7.
