Nicki Minaj 41, was detained for several hours in Amsterdam on suspicion of carrying “Soft Drugs” (Marijuana pre-rolls) while on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. Marijuana is illegal in the Netherlands, but reportedly, it is tolerated for recreational use if no more than 5 grams is in possession.
Minaj was arrested while attempting to leave Amsterdam and head to Manchester, England, for her concert at Co-op Live arena. The multi-platinum rapper was eventually released and fined an undisclosed amount, after a tense encounter with Dutch officials, with a lot of it being posted to the mogul’s twitter and X social media accounts.
Despite Minaj’s desperate attempts to get to her performance in Manchester, the show had to be postponed. Minaj stated she believes the arrest was an attempt to sabotage her tour,
They’re being paid big money to try to sabotage my tour b/c soooooo many ppl are mad that it’s this successful & they can’t eat off me. They got caught stealing money from my travel/jets. Got fired. Got mad. Etc.
