Rick Ross and his nemesis 50 Cent are in the spotlight once again. Ross took to social media to post a video directed to 50 Cent. In the video, Ross makes an offer to buy the catalog of G-Unit members Young Buck, Lloyd Banks, and Tony Yayo. He also offered to purchase the masters of the 2003 classic album ‘Beg for Mercy’, for a total of $2 million.
Though Ross states the offer is a business deal, many fans believe its a personal taunt towards 50 Cent.
Rick Ross later took a jab at 50 cent by posting a second video in reference to a comment made by popular radio show host Charlemagne Tha God, as he referred to 50 Cent as a “diabolical genius”. Ross was very critical of the comment.
Rick Ross offer has received mixed reactions from the hip-hop community, with some praising him for his generosity and others accusing him of trying to “cash in” on the group’s legacy.
Some say this whole ordeal stems from a comment made by 50 Cent over Rick Ross and Meek Mills low sells for their latest album, “Too Good To Be True.”
50 Cent has yet to respond to the offer.
