James Todd Smith also known as LL Cool (aka Ladies Love Cool James), is a rapper, songwriter, producer, and actor.
LL Cool J signed with Def Jam Recordings in 1984 and released his first single “I Need a Beat” and followed up with his debut album “Radio” in 1985.
Throughout his musical career he released 13 albums, won two Grammy’s and had numerous songs land on the Billboard 100 chart. He is also a four time NAACP Image Awards Winner, two time MTV Music Awards Winner and two time Soul Train Music Awards winner.
Some of LL Cool J’s biggest hits include “Mama Said Knock You Out”, “Rock The Bells”, “Going Back to Cali”, “Doin It”, “I Need Love” and “Headsprung”.
