Ace Magazine’s MTV Music Awards Weekend Extravaganza was an exciting and impressive event that brought together some of the biggest names in music, arts, and entertainment.

From September 8th to the 12th, fans, artists, and music industry professionals gathered in Newark, New Jersey to celebrate the latest and greatest in music and culture. The weekend was packed with exciting events and performances. From Meet & Greets, Community Service Clean Up Day, Power of Influence Music Conference, Gospel Explosion, Celebrity basketball game and more. The entire weekend from beginning to end, was a star-studded red carpet event, where some of the biggest names in music were honored and celebrated. There were also workshops and panels from industry professionals, giving event attendees an inside look at the music business. Notable figures such as MC N.I.C.E, Liz Black, Andrea Mullen, and the Blackface Music Group were featured and presented knowledgeable industry insight for listeners. The events were an absolute blast for everyone involved.
The lineup of performers were incredible, from Loki, Philly’s J Smith, 9ytTrain, Rae Vogue, MouthPie$e, West West and more. Plus, an appearance by music sensation & producer Jerry Wonder along with Naughty By Nature’s Treach & Vinnie, and not to mention Newarks very own Councilman DoItAll, formerly from Lord of the Underground!
Yes, a great time was had. The city embraced the idea and concept of hosting such a prestigious array of events, and made sure it was well-curated, with a variety of activities and entertainment options for everyone and most importantly, safe!

The focus of the weekend was to bring together the music, arts, and entertainment industries to celebrate their accomplishments through music & community efforts. It’s a fact that the mission was accomplished.
One of the most successful events was the Charity Celebrity Basketball Game featuring Team Treach vs Team DoItAll. The ballers went head-to-head with a sleuth of great teammates for an incredible cause. Now that’s not all, this great itinerary continued on Tuesday Sept 12th, with the main event.
The Prudential Center housed the extravagant, star studded MTV Music Awards 2023 with media and press from the worlds top industry platforms! A night of unforgettable performances, stunning fashion and lasting memories! The action packed weekend ended with the official After Party. Overall, VMA Weekend was an amazing success.
