On this day, September 5, 1990, blues icon B.B. King received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His star was number 1,917 when it was unveiled. This was a well deserved honor for the musical legend.
B.B. King remains one of the most influential artist in the history of blues music. With over 50 albums released and 32 songs charting on Billboard, he definitely lived up to the nickname, “The King of Blues”.
